Victor Winer Obituary
He was born April 19, 1958, to George and Maria in Beaver, and lived a subsistence lifestyle.
He loved hunting, going out in the woods, fishing, spending time being bear-watch for Barb while she picked berries, and going on boat rides with Barb, Shawn and his baby, Michael. He always thought of his nieces and provided them with whatever Native food he had.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Maria; siblings Nancy, Jo-Jo, George Jr.; George III; Norman, Frank, Susan, Jennifer, Jack, grandma Louise, grandma Maggie and grandpa Art Henry, Wesley and Terri John Jr.
He is survived by his siblings, Mary (Barry) Foster, Maria, Teresa (Brian) O'Beirne, Bob (Ada), Chuck and Al and sis Jennie Pitka, and bro Donny Evans; aunts Elsie Pitka, Annie John and Martha Howard; uncles Roy, Art, William and Jerry; nieces and nephews Barb (Shawn) Saunders, Roberta (Pete) Riley, Nellie (Mike), Glend, Glenn Jr., Jennie, Jackie (Mitch), Elsie (Eric), Jim Jr., Maria Monkey, Deborah, Wesley, Kyle, Jonathon and Jennifer Barnes, Michael, Julius, Avery, Lyla, baby Ethel, Norma, Maggie, Izaiah, Shannon, Jennifer, Jasmine, Roy Jr., Ben T., Alissa and Teddy Jack, Nicole, Brad and Cassandra, Little Barb and Ronald, and Jordan Billy whom he thought the world of, and many more nieces, nephews and cousins too many to name.
A fundraiser will be held Indian time Thursday at the David Salmon Tribal Hall in Fairbanks.
Services will be Friday at Fairbanks Funeral Home and Saturday in Beaver.
