Barbara Boyette Hedgepeth

KITTRELL

Barbara Boyette Hedgepeth died on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh. She was born July 8, 1950, in Greenville, the middle child of the late Dr. Dan Boyette, Jr. and Mrs. Eunice Quinn Boyette of Ahoskie.

Barbara was an avid horseman having won many ribbons, trophies and awards in Dressage in different States. Recently, she had been training her newest pride and joy Monty, a German Hanoverian.

Mrs. Hedgepeth was a graduate of Meredith College and was retired from Mallinckrodt in Raleigh.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Gilbert Bundy Hedgepeth of the home; sisters, Bonnie B. Pace (Lyle) of Charlotte and Betty B. Peck of Maryland and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Oakwood Cemetery in Louisburg.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service and all other times they will be at the home of Rachel and Charles Gordon, 1789 Rocky Ford Rd., Kittrell, NC.
