Bobby Wayne Langston II, 43, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017. Bobby was born August 13, 1973 in Wake County to Bobby Wayne Langston and Cynthia Murray Langston. Bobby graduated from East Wake High School and began his studies in law enforcement at Wake Tech in the BLET program. He received his degree in Criminal Justice from Ashford University. Bobby began his law enforcement career with the Bunn Police Department. He then spent 18 years with the Wendell Police Department working his way through the ranks to become a Lieutenant. Bobby was currently Chief of the Rolesville Police Department and was involved in many programs in the Town of Rolesville.
Bobby loved sports, his favorite teams were NC State and the Cubs. He coached t-ball, baseball and softball and was very involved in youth community programs. Bobby was a member at Hephzibah Baptist Church where he served rocking little babies while parents attended service and taught the 4 year old Sunday school class. He had a special bond with his mother and he loved to fish with his dad. Bobby loved his family and felt his greatest accomplishment in life were his daughters. He loved his wife of 23 years with all of his heart.
Funeral service will be held 1:00 pm, Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at Richland Creek Community Church, 3229 Burlington Mills Rd, Wake Forest, 27587. Burial Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 809 W. Gannon Ave., Zebulon, 27597.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, Monday, April 3, 2017 at L. Harold Poole Funeral Service & Crematory, 944 Old Knight Rd., Knightdale, 27545 and other times at the home.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Amy Privette Langston; daughters: Brittany Lauren Langston, Emily Brooke Langston; parents: Bobby Wayne and Cynthia Murray Langston; sister, Denise Crumley (Kevin) of Colorado Springs, CO; grandmother, Melba Jean Langston of Raleigh; fathers-in-law: John Darr (Melany) of FL., Jimmy May of Middlesex; grandmother-in-law, Barbara Darr of FL.; brother-in-law, Michael Lewis (Stephanie) of Zebulon; nieces and nephew: Ashley Tyminas, Jacob Root, Madison Root, Macy Crumley, Isabella Lewis, Makayla Hocutt, Raelyn Hocutt and extended family and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by: grandfather, M.D. Langston; mother-in-law, Cathy Lynn Privette May.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Langston Family Trust Account at the SECU in Rolesville.

My heart is breaking for the Langston family. I have never met someone who was as kind and caring as Bobby. He made me feel like I was a part of his family and he was such a blessing to me. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have known him and I pray that the Lord gives his sweet family the strength that they need in the days to come.

I feel so honored to have had the opportunity to know Bobby. As we moved our girls into Western Carolina, he exemplified such kindness and patience. He was a gentle soul that deeply loved his family. I pray that God will give his family the comfort and strength they need in the days ahead.
