APRIL 20, 1944 – JANUARY 2, 2013
Clayton
Edward Henderson Ormond, Jr., 68, beloved husband, father and grandfather, died at his home on Tuesday. Born in Beaufort County, he was the son of the late Edward Ormond, Sr. and Myrtle Boyd Wattenbarger. Ed was a purchasing specialist with EMC Corporation prior to retirement.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Aversboro Road Baptist Church, Garner. Entombment will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh.
Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Sylvia Reaves Ormond; daughter, Angela Sims and husband, Tommy of Garner; son, Troy Ormond and wife, Susan of Raleigh; sisters, Molly Upchurch of Garner and Barbara Hartman of Raleigh; brother, Wayne Wattenbarger and wife, Diane of Raleigh; grandchildren, Brayden, Hunter and Ashton Sims and Taylor, Chase and Brinkley Ormond.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
Memorial contributions may be made to Aversboro Road Baptist Church, 1600 Aversboro Road, Garner, NC 27529.
