Esther Worrell Balkcum Albright

Esther Albright Obituary

Mrs. Esther Worrell Balkcum Albright, 85, formerly of Goldsboro, died Sunday at Wake Medical Center in Cary. She had made her home for the last five years with her daughter and family in Apex.
Mrs. Albright was born in Wayne County, March 25, 1920, the daughter of the late Kirby and Pearl Turner Worrell. She was married for 37 years to the late James Roland Balkcum, who died in 1976. She was also married for 21 years to Rev. Fred P. Albright.
Graveside service will be held 12 noon Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Park in Dudley with Rev. Bill Rose officiating.
Mrs. Albright is survived by her daughter, Pam Wilson and husband, Britt of Apex; her brothers, Harold Worrell and wife, Irene of Goldsboro, Lawrence Worrell and wife, Virginia of Goldsboro; her sisters, Elizabeth W. Edmundson of Goldsboro, Pearl W. Holloman and husband, Kirby of Kinston, Jana Bryan and husband, George of Wilmington; her grandchildren, James Matthew Wilson, Andrew Britton Wilson, and Allison Kessler Wilson.
Mrs. Albright was also preceded in death by sisters, Abia Harrison, Esther Mae Kearney, and Selma Lancaster; brothers, Emmitt Worrell, Kirby Lee Worrell, Johnny Worrell, Paul Worrell, Wilbert Worrell, Buster Worrell, and Waitus Worrell.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 68 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home, 1300 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro.
