Ayden, Nebraska - Rev. Gordon Winfred Hart, 89, of Ayden, NC, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023. Funeral service is 3PM, Friday, July 7th, at Grifton FWB Church. Visitation is Thursday evening 6-8 PM at Farmer Funeral Service in Ayden. Burial in Ayden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hubert & Norva Hart Scholarship, c/o Welch College, 1045 Bison Trail, Gallatin, TN 37066; or International Missions, 5233 Mt. View Rd., Antioch, TN 37013.

Preacher Hart was such a wonderful man of God. He was always there for anyone that needed him. My family loved him dearly. He will be missed but he is where he wanted to be (Heaven)!

This is the Gordon Hart that always was so kind, caring, and funny. He loved to take pictures and when I didn´t know something about my camera, we both had the same one, he was always willing and eager to help me figure things out. I will miss him dearly!

I´m so sorry for your loss. Mr. Hart was such a sweet and caring person. He always had a smile and you knew it was sincere (just for you). I will never forget his kindness and of course the cakes and cookies around Christmas! Such a wonderful light in a world that truly needed it! We were all so blessed to know him.
