A year has passed and still can't believe he is no longer with us. I learned something new from the obituary. Did not realize he was born in New York City. Aunt Retta (his mom) never told us that fact .My hope is his family is doing well

Clay was my first cousin and godfather. Even though my family moved to California in 1959, Clay made sure that he and his family remained in close contact with us. He visited us in Southern California many times. Whenever of his California family visited Connecticut, there was always time with Clay. I visited CT. four times in the from 2000-2015. I would always stay with Clay and Jill. He was a wonderful tour guide and a great storyteller and source of family history. I felt lucky that I really got to know him and his wife Jill better during these visits. i miss Clay. Peace to Jill, Clayt, Marc and the grandchildren.
