Carol Ann Lauritzen
Born: December 19, 1936 in Davenport, IA
Died: July 7, 2024 in Peoria, IL
Princeton - Carol Ann Lauritzen, beloved wife of Max Lauritzen, passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024, at OSF St. Francis in Peoria, IL. She was born on December 19, 1939, in Davenport, IA, to the late Gerhard and Catherine (Zinger) Schloemer. Carol graduated from Bettendorf High School in the Class of 1957 and later attended the American Institute of Commerce.
On May 11, 1963, Carol married the love of her life, Max Lauritzen, in Bettendorf, IA. She dedicated herself to her community, working first as a librarian at Princeton Elementary School and later at Walmart. Carol found great joy in tending to her yard, immersing herself in the pages of a good book, and cherishing moments with her loving family, especially the grandbabies.
Surviving Carol, her husband Max of 61 plus years; children David (Dianna Von Brisen) Lauritzen of Phoenix, MD, Kathy (Stephen) Snow of Princeton, IL, Angela (David) Bohm of Belle Fouche, SD, Kenny (Anne) Lauritzen of Walnut, IL; two grandson, Brandon Lauritzen of Walnut, IL, and Dalton Bohm of Belle Fourche, SD; one granddaughter, Ashley *(Eric) Bickett of Princeton, IL., and one great grandson Brantley Bickett of Princeton, IL.
Preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Catherine Scholemer, two brothers, one sister and one son, Troy Lauritzen.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
A visitation to be held on Friday, July 26, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. & Monuments
Services to follow at Norberg Memorial Home, Inc. at 1:00 p.m. Graveside services to follow at Elm Lawn Memorial Park in Princeton, Il.

Carol was loving and caring. Our family was so blessed to have lived next door to her and her family when we moved to Princeton. Our prayers go out to Max and the family with the loss of Carol! Rest in peace, Carol.
