Died: February 15, 2023 in Chicago, IL
Jeremy B. Kiefel, 42, of LaSalle, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at University of Illinois Chicago Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, March 6, 2023 at the Mueller-Pagani Funeral Home, LaSalle. Visitation will be held 1-3:00 PM Monday, March 6, 2023 at the funeral home.
Jeremy was born July 27, 1980 in Spring Valley to Gary and Tracey (Hyson) Kiefel. He worked as a chef at several local restaurants and was most recently chef at The VIG in Chicago. Jeremy had a hobby of cooking and making all of his cooking extravagant.
Jeremy was a member of Perfectly Flawed. In his youth, he enjoyed Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and playing baseball, including Minor and Rookie League, with his father as coach. He was a Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. Jeremy loved art. He had a passion for drawing with great detail in every picture he drew. Most of all, he enjoyed helping others. Even in passing, he continues to help others and save lives through organ donation.
Survivors include his daughter, Alexus Kiefel and her mother, Linda Corsale both of Peru; parents, Gary and Tracey Kiefel of LaSalle; sister, Tiffani Kiefel of LaSalle; brother, Christopher (Uli) Kiefel of Washington; two nieces, Zoey Kiefel of LaSalle and Michelle Kiefel of Washington; grandmother, Janet Kiefel; aunt, Dawn (Bill) Brown of Murfreesboro, TN; uncle, Donald Hyson of Midland, TX and significant other, Emily Vicich of Ottawa.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Jack and Pat Hyson; paternal grandparents, Walter and Dorothy Kiefel and several aunts and uncles.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
