Robert J. Morse, 92, of Henry, passed away Thursday December 14, 2023, 5:20 am at Lacon Rehab and Nursing.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be held Tuesday December 19, 2023 from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the New Life Church, Henry. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 am. Pastor Tom Schrock will officiate. Burial will follow at Henry Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to The American Cancer Society, The South Side Mission, Peoria, or to the charity of the donor's choice. Calvert & Johnson Memorial Home, Henry is in charge of arrangements.
Bob was born January 18, 1931, at the Henry Hospital, Henry, IL to Robert C. and Evelyn (Wherry) Morse. He married Duonna Jean Hughes on April 5, 1953, at the Putnam Christian Church, Putnam, IL. She preceded him in death on February 26, 2003.
Surviving are his children, Valerie (Randy) Witko, of Putnam, Steven (Joan) Morse, of Columbus, Ohio, Allen (Joanie) Morse, of Magnolia, Malanee Morse, of Peoria and Angela (Ted) Doucette, of Hennepin, twenty grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, Betty Fleming, and Audrey Wall, both of Lacaon.
His parents, one sister, Bonnita Sims, and one grandson, Patrick Morse, preceded him in death.
Bob was a member of the New Life Church, Henry. He had farmed for over 40 years.
