Anna Maciejko Obituary

MACIEJKO, ANNA Anna Maciejko, age 84, of Ansonia entered into rest on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010 at Danbury Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Boleslaw Maciejko. Anna was born in Kozewiche, Belarus on October 1, 1926 daughter of the late Jozef and Jozefa (Wisciasz) Zienko. She loved to take care of her grandchildren, was an avid cook and gardener, enjoying pickling and canning for her family and friends. She was a long time resident of Shelton before moving to Ansonia. Anna was the loving mother of Terry Reichmann and her husband, Peter and Jean Kaye and her husband, Tom. She also leaves four grandchildren, Joseph Maciejko, Jr., Caroline Reichmann, and William and Julia Kaye, two great-grandchildren, Lia and Aleksander Maciejko and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Joseph Maciejko, Sr., a brother, Franik Zienko and two sisters, Bronislava Olekhnovitch and Jadwiga Siwko. Friends may call on Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. Her funeral will leave the funeral home on Friday at 9 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Ansonia. Her burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery. Family and friends may leave condolences at www.adzimafh.com.
