Helen Anthony

Helen Anthony entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 6, 2024 at age 83. She was a member of Rose Hill BC for 50 years, before Katrina. Her life ended with being a faithful sheep of Heart 2 Heart Family Worship Center. Helen was a graduate of Walter L. Cohen and went on to receive both a certificate as a nurse's aide and licensure as an LPN from Sidney Collier. She expressed her love for caring for people for 17 years at VA hospital and then in Home Health Care. Helen retired to take care of her disabled husband and ailing mother. She was a member of the Starlighter's Social & Pleasure club for 40 years. Helen leaves to cherish her memories daughter, Karen Recasner; son's Bryant Anthony (Tishia), Kevin Jackson, Delmon Robertson (Angela), Wallace Robertson (Carmelita) and Curtis Long; five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Helen is proceeded in death by her husband of 39 years, Jesse Anthony, mother, Alister Jones. Siblings, Winifred Jones, Alfredia Gordon and Douglas Jones. Friends and family are invited to a Homegoing Celebration for Helen at Heart 2 Heart Family Worship Center, 3631 Washington Ave., New Orleans, LA 70125 on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 10:00 am. Visitation begins at 9 am. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans, LA. In lieu of flowers, donations in support of the Alzheimer's Association Of Louisiana. alz.org are much appreciated.
