Henry Soroe Obituary

Henry "Hank" F. Soroe III entered heaven on Friday, April 13, 2018, at the age of 61. As a lifelong Chalmette native, Hank loved the outdoors. He was passionate about fishing, shrimping, hunting and gardening. He got much joy from the simple things in life and loved making others laugh. He was a devoted, generous friend who met everyone with a smile and a catchy tune. He was the proud father of Melanie Soroe and Kristen Soroe Palestina (Greg). Cherished paw-paw of Laine Rose Palestina. Loving son of Elizabeth Lehrmann Soroe and the late Henry F. Soroe Jr. Beloved brother of Darlene Soroe Gaiennie (Stephen), Marian Soroe Apperson (Charles), and Thomas J. Soroe (Kelly). He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Mary. Uncle of Timothy Gaiennie, Matthew Gaiennie (Kirsten), Kaitlyn Soroe, and T.J. Soroe Jr. He's fondly remembered by his former wife, Millie, and former in-laws, nieces and nephews. Honoring Hank's wishes, a Celebration of Life will be respectfully private. To view and sign the family guest book, please visit www.stbernardmemorial.com.
