Cocie abounded in generosity. He went out of his way to engage/play golf and dine with my friends visiting New Orleans a decade ago. To this day, they all ask about Cocie. His presence was such a pleasure to behold. Love to his family and particularly Nancy! I do miss him.

Yeah, I still think of Cokie with good memories and lament that he is gone. I am glad he found happiness with Nancy and brought happiness to her. He was a terrific fellow. Any time spent with him was a good time. First-class guy.

It's hard for everyone he touched to lose such an immensely classy, immensely likable guy as Cokie Rathborne was. He really was a star in every way. I was never close to Cokie and didn't see him that much, but every time I did, it was a special occasion for me, to be always remembered, for I will always treasure every memory I have of him, for the things he said, the things he did. I'm so glad he finally found happiness with Nancy. He surely deserved it. Rest him with the saintsthat's where he belongs. What a good fellow.

Worked with Cocie at J. Barth & Co. in San Francisco back in the '60s. Highly intelligent, wonderful sense of humor, always the consummate gentleman. Wonderful memories of his courtly manner and abiding friendship.

Nancy I'm so sorry to hear the awful news that you lost your sweet Cocie! I know how much you loved him, I know how sweet your bond was, I know how much he loved that new grand baby, I know that he will forever be walking by your side. Find strength in his spirit. Know you are loved.

I'll forever miss visiting with Cocie on his shopping excursions where I work. His affable personality and infectious smile, even as we ribbed him about being a Harvard man (God forbid!), will be fond memories in his absence. My thoughts are with you all during this time...

My condolences. Mom and I had dinner with Cocie and his wife in their Hillsborough home many years ago. Cocie IV visited me in Menlo Park, CA., where I have lived for the past 30 years, when he was attending Menlo School/College right down the street from me.
I had a nice visit with Tina last fall at Aunt Page's memorial service in DC. I regret not having gotten to know him better.

Nancy, I was so saddened by the news of Cocie's passing. What a shock to all especially you. Loved seeing y'all out together. You were both always elegantly dressed and mannered, a bright spot in the crowd. I know this will be quit an adjustment but one you will manage beautifully.
Fondly,
Susan Merrick

We will miss Cocie deeply, as all of those who have known him will. He was a gentleman, an associate, and a valuable advisor. But most of all, he was a friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Nancy, in this most difficult time of your life. While we are far away in "miles", we are very close in spirit, for any of your needs. Your loss is shared by all he touched, in so many ways. David and Kathy Barleen, (Lafayette, CA)

Nancy, I remember visiting you & Cokie after Katrina, when I was attending an energy conference back in 2005, during Mardi Gras. He was so looking forward to getting his driver's license renewed. Sincerely wish I could get down for the service & give you a big hug & much love from a Huidekoper cousin - Frazer Page Dougherty
