Lynne Huxen Bowen entered into her eternal rest on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of Roy L Bowen Sr. Loving mother of Roy L. Bowen Jr., Kevin Bowen (Lucy) and Keith Bowen (Desiree). Grandmother of Alexander, Madelyne and Isabella Bowen. Sister of Mildred Heffker and the late Alfred R. Huxen. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Alfred T Huxen and Rosa Heath Huxen. Lynne was born in New Orleans and was a resident of St. Bernard Parish for 51 years. She was a former employee of D.H. Holmes and Dillard's Department Stores and a member of the St Jude Society at our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the wake service at Greenwood Funeral Home, 5200 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124, on Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and visitation again on Monday, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. The Funeral Mass will be at St Anthony of Padua Church, 4640 Canal St, New Orleans, LA 70119, on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 1:30 PM. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
