Leaving on a cruise today. It reminds me of the Tulips and Windmills river cruise we took with Nancy. So many fond memories.

Hard to believe it's a year since she's gone. What a year it's been. Nancy and my only grandson share a birthday so I always remember her on January 7th. Still missing you and your wonderful smile and sense of humor.

Lucky to have been friends since high school. Will truly miss her spirit, optimism and great sense of humor on my visits home to New Orleans. We laughed a lot together. My deepest condolences to her family.

I have so many fond memories of Nancy. She will remain in my heart and mind She was such an important friend after Val and my husband passed away within a short time. I will always cherish my memories of our travels together, stoop sitting on her steps and the many wonderful adventures she introduced me to. Billy: I only met you when you and I moved Nancy out of Bourbon St. when she was first ill, but you and your wife have been a wonderful, constant blessing for your sister these past few years.. She was a fantastic lady and and we are all better people for having known her.

The many years of knowing Nancy in the French Quarter always meant getting together for a drink (forget iced tea!) and spending the afternoon laughing about everything from our own devised foreign travel rules to the horrors of asbestos remediation laws. She just made everything light and funny. A tough act to follow.

I'm one of those inconsolable girlfriends. But, certainly not crying as there are too many funny memories that will keep her alive. What an adventuress traveling alone along the trans-Siberian Railway.
XOXOXOXO as she always signed her emails.

I grew up with Bill and Nancy Hightower on State Street Drive. Looking back, I feel I was very fortunate to be born in that time and place. Nancy was 1 day older than my wife, Jill, her friend at Newcomb. We have not seen Nancy in 50 years as all of the Davids have left New Orleans. Nancy was a faithful friend and full of energy. My condolences to Bill.
