Olga H. Marsalis entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 8, 2018. Devoted wife of the late Joseph B. Marsalis. Loving mother of Angela Marsalis, Beverly Marsalis, Edward K. DeGreat and the late Joseph V. DeGreat. Daughter of the late Edward Hickman and Evelyn Johnson Hickman. Sister of Marion Daniels, Zelma Lockett (George), Lois (Ronald) Brumfield, Claudette Caire, Alton (Athalia), Troy (Mechelle) and Gregory (Kathy) Hickman of Ponchatoula, LA and the late Gayle Williams, Sandra Hickman, Edward Jr., Anthony and Roy Hickman. Sister in law of Junius Williams and Joyce Hickman. Grandmother of Ashley, Darrell and Joseph Marsalis and the late Milton and Tony Marsalis. Great grandmother of Joseph, Darrell and Connor. Devoted Loved ones, Catrina Keeler and Darrell Mitchell. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends, also pastor, officers and members of Progressive Baptist Church and neighboring churches and employees of LSU Medical Center are invited to attend the funeral service on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Progressive Baptist Church, 1214 S. Robertson Street beginning 11 am. Rev. Willie Gable Jr., D. Min., pastor officiating. Church visitation 10 am until service time.
