Arnold Dean Baller

Arnold Dean Baller, age 57, of Council Bluffs, passed away March 30, 2008.

Arnie was born February 11, 1951, in York, Neb. He started kindergarten at Exeter Public School. He graduated from Oakland, Iowa Public School, in 1969. He also attended University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Iowa State University. Arnie worked at Baller's Ford Center from 1973 until 1988. He later worked in the metro area Ford dealerships until his recent illness.

Arnie was preceded in death by his father, Rex E. Baller.

He is survived by his wife, of 16 years, Laura L. (Simons) Baller, of Council Bluffs; three daughters, Christy, Dakota, and Payton, at home; mother, Donna R. Baller, Oakland, Iowa; sisters, Mary Krueger, husband Mike, and Diane Brown, all of Hancock, Iowa, and Barbara Cull, husband Dan, of Omaha, Neb.; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation for Arnie will be on Tuesday (tonight), from 6-8 p.m., at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, at 9 a.m., at the funeral home. Elders Craig Perryman and Bill Carlile, of Community of Christ Church, will officiate. Burial will be at 1 p.m., at Exeter Cemetery, in Exeter, Neb. Pastor Betsy Galoway-Carew, of Beaver Crossing United Methodist Church, will officiate. Memorials will be directed by the family.
