Danny L. Woods, age 88, passed away peacefully, at his home, on June 1, 2024.
He was born May 21, 1936, to the late Claybourne and Shirley (Coan) Woods, in Council Bluffs, IA. Danny graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, proudly served his country in the United States Army, and retired from Mid American Energy. He was the longtime owner and operator of Woods Sporting Goods.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Woods; brother, Jerry Woods; sister, Shirley Orme.
Danny is survived by his children, Colleen (Jeff) Durham, Bob Woods and Matthew (Amanda) Woods; siblings, Joe (Hope) Woods, Ralph (Vicky) Woods, Nancy Brooks and Sharon Harmon; grandchildren, Ashley Graves, Chad (Kelsey) Durham, Chase (Kait) Durham, Rae Lynn Woods, Daniel Woods, Gwendolyn Woods and Abby Woods; 11 great-grandchildren; a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home, on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., at Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home, on Thursday, June 6, 2024. Memorials are suggested to Gethsemane Presbyterian Church.

I remember Danny well while living in Lake Manawa. He always had a good word for you. Our Hearts and Prayers are always with Danny's Dear Family as Danny is now walking with the Good Lord in the Garden of Heaven.
