I am so sad to hear that Mr. Geyer has died. He was my favorite teacher at Westwood even though I didn't have him as a classroom teacher.(My sister did.) He was the "approachable" teacher I could go to if I was having problems. I remember walking past his office trying to get a glance at him...OK, it was a crush. He talked to me as a person, not a kid. He has always been a teacher whose influence stayed with me. I know that my parents and sister had great respect for him as well. My condolences go out to his family. He will be missed.

I was deeply saddened to learn of the death of wonderful Dr. Geyer. Those of my era (WHS'60) remember him fondly as a friendly and patient math teacher, bringing out the best in all his students - and later Vice Principal of Westwood High School. My last contact with Dr. Geyer was in 2000 when I wrote to him hoping he could attend our 40th class reunion in NJ. He took the time to write back, wishing us all the very best. I will always remember him as one of my very favorite high school memories. I have attached a photo, taken in the late '50s of Dr. Geyer, spending a typical lunch hour outside talking with students. Deepest condolences go to the Geyer family for their immeasurable loss.

I just loved math & was often made fun of because of it. Mr. Geyer, as he was in 1954, was the first teacher to encourage me & his obvious love of the subject combined with his teaching methods made math even better. In appreciation, I made him a pair of argyle socks & I remember trying to measure his foot without his knowing - I think he liked the socks & I've always remembered him fondly. I remember things today that he taught & I've thought of him many times over the years. I've been involved with accounting & investments & credit Mr. Geyer for a great beginning. My deepest sympathy to Mrs. Geyer and the entire family. He was a wonderful man. Class of 1958

To The family of Dr.Geyer,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I was a student of Dr. Geyer at William Paterson College in 1976.
He was a great teacher, as well as a great role model.
My prayers are with you at this time. May God keep him and help you through this most difficult time.
