I too am very saddened to hear of your loss. Although I had not seen Charlie since our 8th grade graduation I instantly recognized him by his never changing smile when we met a few years ago when our sons were classmates at SJR. My family and I extend our sympathies to the Weir family, especially his mom Winnie and son Andrew.

R.I.P. Charles Weir. You are now in the winds that blow, the crystals on new fallen snow. You are the sunlight on ripened grain, and in the autumn's gentle rain.

Tears came to my eyes when I saw Charles' obituary on my Facebook scroll. I knew him first as an 7 year old in second grade. The last time I saw him was at the reunion in November. As accomplished as he was, he was the same person at 58 as he was at 7 -good and loving. I looked forward to seeing him at the reunions and to hear about the family.. pictures of the kids over the years..the wedding photo...I will pray for him and for you all. May Christ's loving peace find you at this time of loss.

I am shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Charlie's passing. The steel industry has lost a valued member and I've lost a friend. Charlie was one of the most upbeat people I know, always quick to laugh, ready to help anyone and very down to earth. I'll truly miss him.
