Peter Anema Obituary

ANEMA
Peter H., 89, of Clifton died Thursday, March 22, 2012. Born in Passaic, he was a lifelong Clifton resident. Peter is a US Army Veteran of WWII who served in the CBI Theater of Operations. He was employed by the Clifton Board of Education as a custodian for 38 years prior to his retirement in 1983. Peter is a faithful member of the United Reformed Church of Clifton. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking during his years of retirement. Peter is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Lorraine "Lorrie" (Pine), by a son, David J. Anema and wife, Debra of Toms River, by a daughter, Janice Zipf and companion, Dennis Reichert of Clifton, by three grandchildren, Marissa, Arielle and David James Anema II and his wife, Catherine and by two great-grandchildren David James III and Gabriella Anema. He is predeceased by a sister, Bernice Pasterchick. Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Monday at Allwood Funeral Home, 660 Allwood Rd., Clifton followed by burial at Laurel Grove Memorial Park. Visiting hours are Sunday afternoon 2-5 PM. www.allwoodfuneralhome.com

Aunt Lorry, Dave, Jan and Family...

Thinking of you at this difficult time and hoping that the wonderful memories of times spent with him will always be with you to give you strength.

Uncle Pete was as good as they come. He always had a smile on his face and genuinely cared about the people in his life. We will miss him a lot.
