Richard G. Tibbetts

TIBBETTS Richard G., passed away on April 9, 2008 in Jupiter, Fl. Rich was born on June 25, 1946 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in NYC. The family moved to Teaneck, NJ and Rich attended St. Joseph's Grammar School in Bogota and graduated from Teaneck HS in 1964. During his life he was an avid baseball player and sports fan. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Independence as a Helmsman from 1967 to 1971. After 30 years of employment, starting with New York Telephone, Rich retired from the Verizon Corporation and moved to Tuscan, AZ where he loved all the area had to offer, especially golf and the weather. He was predeceased by his parents Richard and Eleanor Tibbetts and is survived by his loving son Matthew G. Tibbetts of Nyack, NY, his sisters, Anne McKenzie, Las Vegas, NV, Carol Haber , Jupiter, FL, Irene Tibbetts, Jupiter, FL. Beloved uncle of Brendan McKenzie, Daniel Haber, Kerrie McKenzie and Cheryl Lupo and his great-nieces Lilly and Emily Mulvaney. A memorial mass will be held at St. Joseph's Church, Palisades Avenue, Bogota on August 9th, 2008 at 11 AM for Richard. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be made in the memory of Richard to Hospice of Palm Beach County, FL.
