Thomas Zygmunt Obituary
Thomas M., 64, of Hamburg, NJ passed away Friday with his family by his side.
Born in Paterson he was raised in Clifton and resided in Hardyston for last thirty years. Mr. Zygmunt was the assistant post master for the Clifton Post Office and was the post master for the Paterson Post Office and then the Wayne Post Office before retiring. Thomas was the former president of the Hardyston Planning and Zoning Board, former Treasurer of the Wallkill Valley Soccer Club and former coach and umpire of the Wallkill Valley Little League.
He was predeceased by his parents, Chester and Blossom (nee Haik) Zygmunt.
He is survived by his wife the former Laurie Stanchak; four sons, David M. Zygmunt and his wife, Lindsay of Kinnelon, Kevin T. Zygmunt and his fiancée, Megan McCurdy of Boston, MA, Brian C. Zygmunt and Mark J. Zygmunt both of Toms River, NJ; one brother, Richard Zygmunt and his wife, Susan of Wayne; one sister, Patricia A. Zygmunt of Clifton; one granddaughter, Mackenzie Zygmunt; and three nieces and one nephew.
Arrangements by Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 1313 Van Houten Ave., Clifton. Visiting hours Sunday 2:00 pm-6:00 pm with a prayer service sometime during viewing. Private cremation to follow. Dear Laurie & Family, ( including Patty & Richard)
I'm very sorry to hear of the passing of Tom. I have wonderful memories of him as a fun and loving guy. Our families knew each other from St. Paul's parish in Clifton. During those early years we spent the same week at Silver Beach on the jersey shore and had a blast together.
I'm not surprised that his life was filled with serving people.
May God bless him and keep him and may He bless your family as well during this most difficult time.

Laurie and family,
It was our pleasure to know Tom for many years and Minard to coach the Cardinal's with him. He loved the game and loved the kids. Those were such happy times. God gained an angel.
