Vito Domingo Obituary
Vito Domingo, age 65 of Hawthorne, NJ, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2017. Born in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy, to Sebastiano and Rosaria Domingo, he came to the United States when he was 16 years old. Vito loved spending time with family and friends as well as summer vacations to his childhood hometown. Vito was a hardworking and dedicated self-employed Mason who owned and operated V & D Contracting of Hawthorne, NJ for over 20 years. He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth's RC Church, Wyckoff, NJ and also St. Anthony's Church, Hawthorne, NJ. Vito is survived by his son, Vito Domingo and his wife Janene of Franklin Lakes, NJ and his daughter Lisa Kropilak and her husband Jack of Hackensack, NJ. Also surviving are his five grandchildren, Anthony, Jenna, Leah Domingo; Jack and Andrew, Kropilak; his sisters, Maria Domingo and brother-in-law, Paolo Messina of Castellammare del Golfo, Italy and Vita Cafisi and brother-in-law Gabrielle Cafisi of Dix Hills, NY, and his wife Joanne Domingo. Visiting will be held on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Vander Plaat Funeral Home, www.vpfh.com, 257 Godwin Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. Funeral Mass Thursday 10 am at St. Elizabeth's RC Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff, NJ 07481. Entombment will follow in Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah, NJ. Memorial Contributions to St. Jude Tribute Program, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis,TN 38148-0142 would be appreciated

God has taken another angel away from us. I am so happy that last month when we were all together celebrating Kenny's 60th birthday it was a day we were laughing and having a great time and I will hold onto that memory! My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and ALL whom loved you! No more suffering, your at peace now. Always in our hearts, Christina and Kenny.
