Anne Coleman Obituary

Anne M. Coleman November 14, 1963-September 28, 2008 BOZRAH - Anne Mary (Socha) Coleman, 44, went home to the Lord on September 28, 2008. A beautiful life ended much too early due to a tragic car accident which claimed her life and left her husband Michael C. Coleman in very critical condition. Anne was born in Norwich on November 14, 1963, the daughter of Anne (Hurley) Socha and the late Joseph J. Socha, Jr. She is a graduate from the Norwich Technical School Class of 1981, and was currently employed by the Mohegan Sun as a banquet server. She lived her life with a passion for helping others, and was always there to care for family and friends. Anne never missed a day of making a wonderful meal for her mother and brother John who were so precious to her. Surviving is her loving husband Michael C. Coleman, her mother (and best friend) Anne Socha, her brother John Socha whom she was truly devoted to, her brother Joseph J. Socha, III and her sister in law Carol Socha (her sister in Anne's heart), her niece Krystina and nephew Jeffrey Socha whom she lived to spoil and loved with all her heart. Her best friends Kelly, Kim and Karen, B.F.F. whom she loved with all her heart, and shared a lifetime of fun with. Her mother in law Corinne (Martin) Coleman, sister in law Donna Coleman, brother in law Mark Coleman and sister in law Faith Coleman, and nieces and nephews Brandon, Daniel, Jonathan and Kimberly. She is also survived by her two dogs Sandy and Coconut and her cat Tiger. Anne was an animal lover from the day she was born. To her they were her kids. She leaves behind many friends who were her family in her heart, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Anne was an expert at having fun and never ceased to amaze everyone with her antics. She was predeceased by her father Joseph J. Socha, Jr., and Godson Timothy J. Socha who meant the world to Anne. When Tim passed a part of his aunt Anne went to heaven with him. She is now at peace reuniting with him and her family in heaven above. Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Ave., Norwich, where the funeral will assemble on Saturday at 10 a.m. and proceed to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at our Lady of the Lakes Church, Route 82, Oakdale. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to either Our Lady of the Lakes Church, 752 Norwich-Salem Tpke., Oakdale, CT, 06370 or to Bozrah Vol. Fire Co., 239 Fitchville Rd., Bozrah, CT 06334.

Auntie Anne, Mike, Joe, John, Carol, Jeffrey, Krystina,

We are so sorry for your (our) loss. Anne was (is) such a wonderful person. We will miss her warm smile and laugh, that would light up the room where ever she was.

We will always remember the trips to CT to see her and all of you. In life's memories, I can see her Dad, Uncle Joe, sitting at the kitchen table screaming 'Anne Mary, Anne Mary', and then her entering the room dancing like a princess and her Dad's face lighting up knowing that she was indeed his princess. She was a princess to all of us.

Any time we came to visit, she was always so generous and made us feel so welcome. Sharing came easy for Anne; food, bed, house, whatever; any of her treasures were fair game.

Sharing her talents was also something Anne did frequently: cooking up a feast, planning a trip, cleaning up the Hampshire house, etc. (We always said, she always left the Hampshire house looking better when she left then when she came.) Our world was also better for having Anne in it.

Princess Anne Mary we love you,

Mary, Dan, and family
Kevin, Brian, and Kristina

To the Socha and Coleman families
i havn't seen Anne in years.
but her smile and outgoing personality is vibrant in memory.
we were in school at fields together.
when we started kindegarten and had to ride on the bus with all the big kids we always sat together.
I remember coming up to her bus stop and feeling better because then i would see her smile and felt a little less scared, knowing she would always sit with me.Thanks Anne for that comfort.
Reading all these entries has shown me she never changed. She always enjoyed being with others and sharing God's greatest gift, Love and compassion. with my deepest sympathy, Rena (Iannaci) Barnowski

Laughter was one of Annie's greatest gifts to everyone she came in contact with. I am lucky to be one of the many people whose day she brightened on more than one occasion.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I know she has taken your love with her, and she has left her love to each of you. May you find in that love, the strength you need in this most difficult of times.

Dear Auntie Anne and Family,
Nothing is more tragic then losing a child. Knowing she is in heaven with Jesus is the biggest comfort. Timmy has his Auntie to play with and Bob to play pranks with. The veil is so thin between us and you will feel her presence and look foundly with a smile and some tears. Mikie, nothing is going to make this process easier for you. Losing Bob was the most difficult thing to happen to me in my life. Just know that Annie will always no matter what be right by your side helping and comforting you. You are and always will be in my prayers. Much love, Kelly Conrad
