Carol Whittington Obituary
Carol Jean Whittington, 58, of Woodstock, passed away Friday, May 27, 2022 at Winchester Medical Center. A memorial service will be held Friday, June 3 at 11:00 a.m. at Valley Pike Church of the Brethren in Maurertown. Pastor Jonathan Fletcher will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be private in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Whittington was born October 16, 1963 in Woodstock, daughter of the late Edsel Gearing Whittington and Jean Elizabeth Edmonds Whittington. She was a 1983 graduate of Central High School. She formerly worked at Hamilton Motel, Bowman Apple and Lear Inc. She was a member of Valley Pike Church of the Brethren.
She is survived by her brother, Jay Whittington and wife Pam of Strasburg; nephew, Curtis Whittington and niece Katie Whittington both of Strasburg; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her beloved dog, Fred.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Shenandoah County Animal Shelter, 268 Landfill Road, Edinburg, VA 22824.
