Kenneth Straughn Obituary
Wes was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Murdock and Myrtle Straughn; maternal grandparents, John and Ettie Pearl Roberts; uncle, Van Wesley Roberts; and aunt, Annie Bell Wilson.
Wes is survived by his parents, Kenneth Oliver and Betty Joyce Straughn; children, John Wesley and Gracie Lynn; step-daughter, Victoria Mountney; fiancée, Lisa Cameron; brothers, Monte Oliver Straughn of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and Christopher R. Straughn (Candy) of Destin, Florida; aunts, Hazel Lindsey of Enterprise, Alabama, and Margaret Gurrad (Chuck) of Silverdale, Washington; foster uncle, Henry Teal of Ponce De Leon, Florida; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Wes enjoyed wood working, fishing and hunting. He loved helping others and was loved by everyone who knew him. Wes's home going is such a loss on this side of heaven, but there was and is a celebration in heaven, Amen.
Services will be held at Hollywood Boulevard Baptist Church, Fort Walton Beach, Saturday, Feb. 20, 2016, at 1 p.m. with pastors Willie M. Pace and Roy K. Baker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Interment will take place at Cluster Springs Baptist Church in Liberty, Florida, immediately following the services.
