Tammy Shields Obituary

Tammy Lynn Shields, 34, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., tragically lost her life in her home on Sunday, June 26.
She was born in Alabama on Aug. 25, 1976 to Billy Ray Cook and Jennie Motley Schlenker. She graduated from Prattville High School in 1994. Shortly after high school she moved to Fort Walton Beach and attended both Pensacola Junior College and Northwest Florida State College.
Tammy worked in the food-service industry, locally at Café Thirty-A, Elephant Walk and for the last 11 years she served her favorite customers at Bay Café. She loved to travel and visited Korea, Germany, Holland, France, England, the Caribbean, New York City and Washington D.C. Tammy liked to help people, lost souls in distress/need. She held animals very close to her heart, especially dogs. In fact, she rescued several from PAWS.
Tammy is survived by her mother, father and stepfather, Chris; her two brothers, Matt and Corey Cook; her sister, Melissa Horne; and her nieces, Katie and Ava. She is also survived by those of us who loved her very much. You will not be forgotten Tammy!
