Maryann H. Winkelman, 88, of Woodstock, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Valley Hi Nursing Home in Woodstock.

She was born on September 9, 1926, in Muscoda WI, to John and Florence (Boch) Gies. She married Harold Winkelman on June 2, 1945, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Woodstock.

Maryann was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hartland. She worked for D200 Transportation for several years. She was always very active at her home assisting with all the chores associated with running a family farm. Maryann was a family oriented person and she always put her family first. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and she will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Harold Winkelman; her son, Kenneth (Jan) Winkelman Sr.; her daughter, Debbie (Rick) Labaz; six grandchildren, Kenneth (Katie) Winkelman Jr., Gail (Sean) Anuskewicz, Paul (Melissa) Winkelman, Mark Winkelman, Brook Winkelman, and Sarah (Adam Marshall) Labaz; a great grandson, Emmett Winkelman; her brother, Jack (Margaret) Gies; two sisters in law, Jane Gies and Frances Gies; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Michael Winkelman; her daughter, Diane Gluth; and two brothers, Delbert Gies and William Gies.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at the Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave. in Woodstock. Interment will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Woodstock.
