Nick V. Terziski

HUNTLEY – Nick V. Terziski, 71, of Sun City, Huntley, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2011, at his home.
He was born Nov. 28, 1939, in Bulgaria, the son of Valentine and Turnka Terziski.
Nick escaped from Communist Bulgaria, eventually coming to America and proudly becoming a United States citizen.
On Aug. 27, 1971, in Chicago, he married Helen Skopljanac.
He was a pipefitter for many years with Local 597. He was a member of the Shorewood Bible Church in Rolling Meadows.
His family and faith meant everything to him. He was a kind and loving husband, father and grandfather, as well as an ambassador to the Lord. He returned to Macedonia, Bulgaria, to do the Lord's work and help others through missions. He was a hard worker who loved to provide for his family. A talented welder, he enjoyed creating metal sculptures and sharing their beauty with others. He was an avid gardener, and you could often find him tending to his tomatoes. He cherished his family; they brought him the ultimate joy.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen; his loving children, Maria, Nick and Krasimir; his cherished grandson, Joel; and his dear sister, Elana; and brother, George.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at James A. O'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St., Huntley. The memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Shorewood Bible Church, 1900 Hicks Road, Rolling Meadows. The Rev. Richard Jordan will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the church.
