Patricia Jablonski Obituary

Patricia Jablonski
Born: December 11, 1931 in Chicago IL
Died: March 8, 2023 in Crystal Lake
Patricia A. Jablonski, 91, of McHenry, IL, departed this life on March 8, 2023, at Shepherd 's Premier Senior Living in Crystal Lake. Pat, born on December 11, 1931 in Chicago, IL, was the sole child of Henry and Agnes Konopa.
As a teen, she became an avid accordion player and was a member of a polka band. On October 13, 1951, she married Richard J. Jablonski and together they raised nine children in McHenry. Being a strong woman of faith, her love of God and her unwavering Catholic faith were always the driving forces within her life. Of course, she was always busy as a stay-at-home mom,
but as the children grew older she became more involved in the school P.T.A., the community and her beloved church. Pat and Rich moved to Escondido, CA in 1983 where Pat busied herself with even more activities in the church. She became a caregiver to the elderly in nursing homes and eventually private homes. Already a life-long avid seamstress, she learned to quilt and crochet, to play the organ and loved to kick up her boots on the line-dance floor! With Rich's passing in 2005, Pat returned to her beloved McHenry, happy to be close to most of her family. She continued active participation in her church community with bible studies, choir membership and more. Now also active with the senior center, she was a formative member of "The Sassy Singers", performing classic old-time tunes for senior centers. Boy, could she swing that boa and belt out tunes like "Santa Baby". Pat touched so many people with her life and will fondly be remembered by those she leaves behind. Among those survivors are her children: Connie (Dennis) Shelley, Rich Jablonski (Stacey Stahl), Michael (Geri) Jablonski, Cathy Wiseman, Beth (Gary) Hoger, Patti (Jim) Davis, Tom (Rhonda) Jablonski, Jack (Wanda) Jablonski, and Jim Jablonski (Julie Bartkus). Pat was adored by 21 grandchildren: Jill, John, Eric, Sarah, Margaret, Clair, Michael, Ben, Brad, Alex, Christopher, Brandon, Shane, Seth, Marla, Sam, Jarrod, Joshua, Jessica, Nathan and Nicholas. She is also loved by 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, 2 sisters-in-law, 2 nieces and 1 nephew. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband and 2 grandsons, Ryan Roudebush and Nathaniel Jablonski. Visitation will be Friday, March 17 from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Colonial Funeral Home, McHenry. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 18 at 11:00 am at The Church of Holy Apostles in McHenry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 W Bull Valley Rd, McHenry, IL 60050 or to ProMedica Hospice, 1110 W Lake Cook Rd Ste 130, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089.
