Richard D. (Dick) Brinkman Born: June 15, 1938 Died: Feb. 27, 2014; Huntley, IL Richard D. (Dick) Brinkman, 75, of Sun City Huntley, died peacefully in his sleep, Thursday, February 27, 2014. He was born June 15, 1938, to Walter and Ruth (Parker) Brinkman. He was a US Army Veteran serving in Korea. A lifelong Chicago White Sox fan, he met his wife Maureen (Rightmire) at a game at old Comiskey Park in 1970. Loving father of Daniel (Elsa) and Jennifer; Grandfather of Caitlyn and Madelyn; brother of Preston (Elaine); and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and oldest brother Parker. Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 5 from 3:00 - 8:00 pm at the James A. O 'Connor Funeral Home, 11603 E. Main St., Huntley and will continue on Thursday from 9:30am until the 10:30 am Memorial Mass at St. Mary Church, 10307 Dundee Rd., Huntley. In Lieu of flowers, memorials in his name may be directed to The Chicago White Sox Charities or a charity of the donors ' choice.
