DANIEL DOUGLAS GOOCH

DANIEL DOUGLAS GOOCH LAKE STATION, IN Daniel Douglas Gooch, 58, of Lake Station passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014. Dan was born in Hammond, IN, on June 27, 1956, to Jack and Georgene (Pat) Gooch. He graduated from Hobart High School in 1974 and entered the Navy after graduation. After the Navy, Dan worked as a heavy machine operator at Inland and US Steel. Dan was a beloved member of the Lake Station community, who coached his children in basketball. He was a US Navy veteran and an active member of the VFW. Dan loved watching his children play sports and enjoyed golfing and hunting. He was a generous and caring person that enjoyed having fun with his family. Dan is survived by his wife of 19 years, Marcella Gooch (Koleff); four children: Danni Magdaleno, Cody, Kyle and Sean Gooch; two grandchildren; brother Kenny Gooch; two sisters: Kelly Gooch and Tracey Moore and his mother Pat Gooch. Daniel is preceded in death by his father, Jack Gooch. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 7th from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home, 701 East 7th Street, Hobart.
