Joseph Fedorchak Obituary

JOSEPH FEDORCHAK VALPARAISO/ FORMERLY OF MERRILLVILLE, IN Joseph Fedorchak, age 91, of Valparaiso, formerly of Merrillville, IN, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2009 at his residence. He was born September 20, 1917 in Gary, Indiana. He attended Emerson School before embarking on a 40 year career at Gary Works, U.S. Steel. He became the Head Loading Supervisor of the Merchant Mills before retiring in 1976. He was one of the founders of the Supervisor's Club. He was an avid golfer and loved most sports. He played softball in the Gary Twilight League at many positions for the famous "Club 25" team. His family was always his main concern. He was a resident in Merrillville for 50 years with his wife and three children. Mr. Fedorchak was preceded in death was his wife, Violet Fedorchak; brother, Michael Fedorchak. Survived by daughter, Rae Ann (Jim) Ringer; two sons: Richard and Ron Fedorchak all of Valparaiso; grandchildren: Richard and Jeffrey Fedorchak, Heather (Justin) Brooks, Hillary (Jeff) LeDuc, Tiffany (Shane) Osborne and Josh (Rachel) Ringer; great grandchildren: Logan and Cohen Osborn, Vince LeDuc, Wyatt and Sam Brooks; brother, Albert Fedorchak of Chandler, AZ; two sisters: Margaret Kukelka of Lowell and Betty Peters of Crown Point; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may visit from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at Rendina Funeral Home, 5100 Cleveland St. Merrillville. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Evanick officiating. Burial in Calumet Park Cemetery.

richard i will always remember your dad he was my favorite buddy and he always had a smile when he saw me and he always knew who i was. he always knew i had a special snack for just him i will miss him deerly and your visits with him. brentwood will never be the same take care
