Karin Peckinpaugh Obituary

KARIN A. PECKINPAUGH (NEE TOLLEY) LAFAYETTE, IN/ HAMMOND, IN Karin A. Peckinpaugh, age 56, of Lafayette, died at 4:05 a.m. Saturday, October 18, 2008, at Home Hospital. She was born September 12, 1952, in Whiting, to Kathleen Tolley of Hammond and the late Robert Tolley. After graduating from George Rogers Clark High School in Hammond, she attended Indiana State University in Terre Haute, graduating in 1975 with a degree in education. On July 29, 1972, she married Rick Peckinpaugh in Whiting, and he survives in Lafayette. Mrs. Peckinpaugh was a teacher for 22 years with the Tippecanoe School Corporation, teaching at Mayflower Mill and Cole Elementary. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cooking, and most of all being in the classroom with her students. Surviving with her husband and mother are two sons: Chad Peckinpaugh (Kelly) of Lafayette and Kyle Peckinpaugh of Indianapolis; a daughter, Cheyann Peckinpaugh of Lafayette; and a brother, Bob Tolley of Hammond; two grandchildren: Kennedy and Kaidynn Peckinpaugh. Visitation 5:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday with services 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyekenham Blvd, Fr. Timothy Alkire officiating.
