LAWRENCE V. JARRETT

Lawrence V. Jarrett ("Deacon") HAMMOND, IN - Lawrence V. Jarrett ("Deacon"), 95, of Hammond, IN passed away from this life to receive his eternal reward on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Munster Med-Inn in Munster, IN. He was born on December 28, 1922 to the marriage of John Mark and Magnolia (Easley) Jarrett of Haywood County, TN who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in eternal rest was his faithful wife of 58 years, Rosie B. (Harston) Jarrett; brother Olin Jarrett and a special sister Norma Jean Kendall. He is survived by one loving and attentive daughter Tracey (Roland) Cusic of Merrillville, IN; five sons: Jerry (Theresa) Jarrett of Griffith, IN, Randy (Sheila) Jarrett of Oklahoma City, OK, Dennis (Pamela) Jarrett and Lawrence Melvin Jarrett both of Indianapolis, IN and Darrin Jarrett of Arizona; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren (including the ones whose "bright eyes" would light up his day) and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends as well as his First Baptist Church family. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church, 4911 McCook Avenue East Chicago, IN. Visitation one hour prior to service. Pastor Douglas Sloss and Min. Jerry T. Jarrett, officiating. Interment Concordia Cemetery Hammond, IN. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church. Divinity Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
