MARY PILCHER Obituary

MARY JEANETTE PILCHER LOWELL, IN Mary Jeanette Pilcher, age 101, of Lowell, passed away peacefully at the Lowell Health Care Center June 17, 2012. She was born in Canton, IL May 17, 1911 to Harry and Ruby Woods, their only child. Mary graduated from Canton High School in 1929. She was married to Lyle H. Pilcher on September 11, 1937 and employed at International Harvester Company in Canton until 1940, when she retired to be a housewife and mother. She was a charter member of Tau chapter of Lambda Chi Omega international sorority, the Alpha Barbara Circle and United Methodist Women. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle in 1997; and son, Craig, in 2010. She is survived by two children: Gary (Nancy) Pilcher of Dyer, IN and Jan (Jack) Diddens of Lowell, IN; grandsons: Jeremy Diddens of Chicago, IL; Aaron (Marlo) Pilcher of Westfield, IN; and Matt (Amber) Pilcher of Lowell, IN; great grandchildren: Jeneve, Josie, and Jillian Pilcher of Westfield, IN; and Chloe, Christian and Conner Pilcher of Lowell, IN; six step grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; and four step great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be Friday, June 22, 2012 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m., all at Sheets Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 604 E. Commercial Ave. in Lowell. Burial will follow in Lowell Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Bill Dunfee officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lowell First United Methodist Church. www.sheetsfuneral.com
