To Coach Powell's family sorry for your lost I will truly miss him he was a funny guy and a great mentor and role model to this day I still use some of Coach Powell's phrases like " ay son " I am truly gonna miss him keep your heads up and stay strong in the Lord. God Bless.

It took me two days to find the right words to say here after discovering that he had left us: Not only was Tom a co-worker and a friend, but he was also a kind-hearted person, and especially one who was always on the verge of an understanding smile when he interactd with me or others.

My thoughts and prayers are with all the loved ones in Coach Powell's family. He was one of my favorite coaches on the 1989-1990 Lew Wallace football team. A true great leader, teacher, and coach. He cared and loved the children. He will be missed by all... May he rest in peace with God....

Coach Powell, was more then just a teacher he was a mentor and a friend. he would always say the teacher has not taught until the pupil has learned. My prayers are with the family, to be absent from the body is to be present with God. R.I.P Coach Powell.
