Bud left his impression on everyone he met - he strove to teach all of us perfection and perseverance. If you could handle it, he gave us all great gifts and I suspect most of us carry those gifts with us every day of our lives. Bud and Peg, thanks for visiting Key Largo - the success it is today is in no small part due to what you taught me. I am so glad I got to tell you that this past spring - 21st Century style via FaceTime. Who woulda' believed it? Peg - carry with you the memory that your man was so very special to so many of us!

Dear Peggy
Very sad to hear the news. For someone who worked with Bud at CBS and then at NBC it's hard to imagine he's gone. He helped shape the careers of so many of us. I fondly remember the years at spot sales and the great account executives he trained.
Those exciting days are gone, but the memories will always be with us.

Dear Peggy and Family...So sorry to hear that Bud has passed. He touched more people than will ever be known. I think Jimmy Zafiros said it very well. I know that my "Hirsch" years will never be forgotten and Bud will always be remembered as a positive influence for many. Condolences to all.

I vividly recall Bud's arrival to NBC from CBS in 1967. Bud's reputation preceded him and he wasted no time in shaping NBC Spot Sales into the premiere sales force in the industry. The thought of not achieving this goal was never an option. From the outset, Bud became our teacher, mentor and motivator. Thanks Bud for giving so much of yourself.

My heartfelt condolences to his loving and indispensable wife Peggy and the entire Hirsch family.

Bud Hirsch was not simply a dynamic, legendary icon in the Broadcast Advertising Sales business...he WAS the business! So many of us had the honor and privilege of working for and learning from the "master" and his legacy will most certainly endure well beyond his passing on September 29th. My deepest and heartfelt condolences to Peggy and family.

No one positively influenced the careers of as many succesful TV executives as Bud... He was my first and greatest mentor and his passing leaves a void that will never be filled...He was a true icon, teacher and friend and those that knew him were blessed beyond measure.

Dear Peggy and family: I am SO sorry. It is always sad to lose a husband, father and grandfather. I hope you willo find comfort in knowing that Bud lived a long, happy, productive life, that he has been blessed with a great wife and children, a successful career, the respect of colleagues and friends, and that he died quickly and peacefully. May his memory be for a blessing. My sincerest sympathies.

The Bud Hirsch years were the golden age of television filled with excitement, innovation and passion. There were pioneers, in front of the camera and behind it, none however, when it came to Ad Sales, were larger than Bud Hirsch. His legendary media packaging skills made a difference. Those of us who worked for him were fortunate to learn from the master. He was the standard, an extraordinary leader who led by example and became a legend. My condolences to Peggy and his family. May his memory be eternal.
