I hadn't seen Doug since law school and was shocked to hear he's gone. His gentle humor made law school more bearable. Many prayers for his family. Rest in peace, Doug.

Doug and Dick (Strongwater) and I were tight back at LHS. Not just because we were family; we were friends, too. I wish I had been told about Doug's passing so I could have paid my respects properly, here in NY. To his wife and children, I am truly sorry for your loss

It was with deep sadness that I learned of Doug's passing. I worked with him on projects in Turkey, and he was very impressive as a lawyer and as a very considerate and intelligent human being. I considered him as being a friend. I would like to offer my deepest sympathies to Doug's family.

Dear Margaret, Rachel and Andrew, and David, I just received word of Doug's death yesterday afternoon. I am heartbroken for all of you. His immense love for his family was palpable even to those of us who saw you infrequently. You will be at the front of my thoughts in the days, weeks, and months to come. Should you ever need me, you know where to find me.
Much love. Lisa, Ron, Sourna, and Sahm

Doug was one of the very best lawyers I have worked with in my 30 year career. Absolutely at the very top of his profession. But much more to the point, Doug was a truly wonderful person; kind, thoughtful, warm-hearted. One of nature's noblemen. My heartfelt condolences to Margaret and the rest of his family and intimate circle.

Dear Nordlinger Family, I am deeply saddened by Doug's loss and would like to offer my condolences. I first met him in 1996 when we were working on projects in Turkey. We started as colleagues but I quickly regarded him as a friend. We also worked closely in his last project in Turkey. I will miss him.

It was four weeks ago that I I kissed your husband, Doug on his cheek, at The Surrey with you, Margaret standing next to us. I will "again" remember how hard someone fights for their life, when the Lord is calling him home... Our heavenly father takes the best on his terms of "thy will" and we left with visible pain. Nothing anyone can say or do will remove what you are having to experience now... I hold close to my heart your children, you, and most of all Doug's courageous fight to fight what he was up against! That my love was the hardest by far...... May god be with you, your family and may your amazing, talented, educated and loving husband rest in peace with our father. He is your angle now and will forever be.. I love you! Courtney Wynne Williams

Sincere condolences to the family. When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure in your heart and it lives forever. May the wonderful treasures fill your hearts with love and bring you peace, Hosea 13:14.

I am deeply sadened to learn of Douglas' death, and extend my heartfelt condolences to his family. I had the very great pleasure of sitting with Douglas on the City of London Law Society professional rules and regulations committee, to which his thoughtful intelegence, insight and wit was a great asset. He will be sorely missed.

Doug was a wonderfully patient, understanding and supportive professional mentor, boss and colleague, and also a dear friend. He was an interested and interesting man, who always made himself available and was constantly doing things for others and for the causes he supported. Full of energy and always pushing himself, he never tired of learning or teaching. Ave Doug Nordlinger, a gentlemen and a gentle man. Matthew Cavanagh)
