ESTHER ANNE STEVENSON

STEVENSON--Esther Anne, of Rye, NY passed away on November 7, 2009. Born on October 16, 1923 in Amesbury, MA, she was the daughter of Arthur J. Burke and Esther Hirtle. Esther was a member of the Rye Women's Club and a past member of the Rye Council of the Ladies Charity, St. Elizabeth Guild, the Apawamis Club and the Westchester Country Club. She had also volunteered at St. Agnes Hospital in White Plains and was a parishioner at the Church of the Resurrection, Rye, New York. Esther was predeceased by her husband John on April 28, 1985. She is survived by: one sister Constance J. Foote and husband Arthur C.; one niece Jeanne Behrman and husband Robert and their children Anneliese and Arthur; one nephew Edward Foote and wife Harriet and their son David. The family and friends will gather on Friday, November 13, at the Church of the Resurrection, Rye, NY for a mass of Christian Burial at 10am. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to Lighthouse International, 111 East 59 St., New York, NY 10022.
