FRANK MODICA Obituary

MODICA--Frank, Jr., age 85, passed away peacefully on March 15. Frank was best known as the agent of musical greats such as Dizzy Gillespie, Stan Getz, Harry James, and Dave Brubeck whom he represented for over forty years. Born in Far Rockaway, NY, Frank studied trumpet at Juilliard before enlisting in the Army. After earning a BBA from Adelphi University, Frank worked for MCA. In 1971 he formed Sutton Artist Corp. and after 2001 focused exclusively on his professional relationship with Brubeck. Frank is survived by his beloved wife Chris Modica-Sandie; his children Carol, William, Nanci and Jesus; his grandchildren Nicole, Vittorio and Frank; his stepchildren Chris, Frank, Bill, Lynett, Leah, their spouses and nine children. Frank's brother, Robert Modica, passed away on March 14 in New York.
