Kate's family spoke so beautifully at the funeral. I looked back at old photo albums for the Katie I grew up with. An adorable child. A beautiful young lady. And my so very good childhood friend. I am heartbroken. My love and condolences.

I am crushed. I am better for knowing Kate. She helped calm me in the most turbulent times. She listened when i needed an ear, she had great council when i needed advice. She was such a huge part of Friendly Voice. Friendly Voice would not have been what it was without her and her tenacity.
I am sad and yet thankful that I got to know her. I will forever see her with purple hair, because when she zoomed, her image always showed her with purple hair. She hated it and I loved it. Special Kate! I had hoped to hug her in person this year, virtual hugs directed to heaven will have to do.

My condolences to the entire extended family. Even though I only knew Kate for just four months, we connected so deeply that we both felt like we knew each other our entire lives. Kate's passing is such a deep and profound loss that makes me very sad and upset. I will cherish the short time we had forever. Peace be with you.

Kate was so kind and caring as we worked through the Friendly Voice Call Center issues during the initial implementation of the program. She called and we had a conversation that kept me involved in the program. My heart is broken to hear of this loss and my prayers go out to the family. An angel indeed.

I volunteered closely with Kate with AARP's Friendly Voice in 2020. She was one of the most caring people I've ever known. She cared about people in general, but especially her family. I know you will all miss her desperately.

I had the pleasure of meeting Kate just a week ago at the joyous occasion of taking pictures for prom with my daughter and hers. I found Kate to be warm and lovely and thoroughly enjoyed speaking with her and her daughter, Emory. My heart breaks for her family and those close to her. May her memory be a blessing and the family find peace and support as they grieve this terrible loss.

My heart and prayers go out to you Howie, Jesse, & Emory. Kate was a beloved "co-worker" and friend. We met in April 2020, and during Covid, we built and managed a call center. We were very complementary to each other. I would start something - she would edit, polish, and finish it. I often joked I couldn't write an email without Kate.
We hoped to meet on your family vacation to CA, but Covid canceled that. In our last phone call, she asked for us to meet halfway on one of my trips to VA. We didn't know we didn't have any more time.
We talked daily for hours daily for a year while co-workers, then this last year for hours every week. Kate was always supportive & encouraging even when she didn't feel well herself and had a wicked sense of humor. She loved to play tricks on me because I'm so gullible.
She often called me her "partner in crime" and that's one of the last texts I received from her on Mother's Day. I am heartbroken - as I know we all are - and I am going to miss our beloved Kate.
