George Kasimirsky Obituary

George W. Kasimirsky Sr., 88, of Hickory, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016, in Family Hospice and Palliative Care, Mt. Lebanon.
Born June 6, 1928, in Pittsburgh, he was a son of Michael and Lottie Yekel Kasimirsky.
Mr. Kasimirsky was a 1946 graduate of Perry High School.
He had worked for General Nutrition for 25 years, retiring in 1995.
Mr. Kasimirsky was a veteran, serving with the U.S. Air Force.
His hobbies included playing cards, taking care of his yard and spending time on his tractor. He enjoyed hypnotism.
On August 16, 1955, he married Norma Jean Massimi, who died July 6, 1999.
Surviving are three children, Georgette (Bill) Murray of Pittsburgh, Karen (Jeff) Sisolak of Plymouth, Mich., and George W. (Danielle) Kasimirsky II of Hickory; 11 grandchildren, Amanda, James and Lottie Murray, Martin, George and Stephen Sisolak, Megan Petruska (Joe), Mark Kasimirsky (Megan) and Natalie, Stephanie and Josie Nitschmann; and two great grandchildren, Lena and Benjamin Petruska.
Deceased are four brothers, Michael, Chester, Frank and Anthony Kasimirsky, and two sisters, Margaret Popiden and Madel Miller.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, August 27, in St. Patrick Church, 317 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, PA 15317. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Moon Township.
