Richard Barkley Obituary
Richard Glenn Barkley, 68, of Ocala, Florida passed away on September 7, 2021. Richard was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 10, 1953. He relocated to Florida with his family as a teenager. Married in 1974, he enjoyed 47 years of marriage and was a devoted family man.
Richard was a retired electrician with a keen sense of humor who loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family.
Richard is survived by his wife, Robin Barkley, children Richard J. Barkley and Gregory D. Barkley, daughter-in-laws Victoria Barkley and April Baxter, Grandson Jarrod T. Barkley, Granddaughter Lauryn O. Barkley, Great Granddaughter Haydin Burnett-Barkley, sister Linda C. Cook, mother-in-law Dorothy G. Hickman, sister-in-law Darlene (Wayne) Pogue and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Grandson Carter B. Barkley, Mother Laura P. Hone and Uncle Clyde D. Driver.
A private service for Richard will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021 with family only. Online condolences may be sent to hiers-baxley.com.
Richard will be dearly missed and forever loved.

I did not know Mr Barkley, but this I know...There's only a few things in life that are 100% going to happen, Change and one day we will pass on are two of them. Both are extremely uncomfortable. What we do in this life is/leaves our legacy including what that person accomplished and the impact he or she had on people. What I know about Mr Barkley is he raised two good men and in my eyes left a wonderful legacy in them that will go on for generations to come. To me there's nothing better. I am so sorry for your loss, please know the Vitto family is here for you guys. Whatever you need!! Years might sperate us today but I will always be a man u can call n depend on Anytime!!!
