Daniel Martinez Obituary

Daniel “Danny” Martinez

“If you’re reading this know that there is light at the end, I just have trouble finding my light.” – Daniel Martinez

Daniel was the youngest of three, born on June 7th, 1995, survived by his mother Maria Guadalupe Martinez (Lupe); sisters Stephanie and Marcela; niece, Juliana Martinez and nephew, Sebastian Martinez.

Danny, born and raised in Dallas, TX.  Attended Dallas schools, graduating from Sunset high school in 2013. As a young child, under the protection of his sister Stephanie, no one was messing with him but her.  His sisters Marcela and Stephanie never stopped protecting him.   Growing up, he met friends that would stick with throughout his whole adolescence.  At a young age, he enjoyed staying up all night with his nephew, Sebastian playing video games- Soul Caliber and Splinter Cell.  Making his name in the streets as Danny Boy, he found passion for boxing…training, making weight, running and sparring with anyone that would put on some gloves.

Danny, gentle giant, being one of the sweetest person with the most giving heart.  A creative soul that wanted to learn how to play the piano, sketch beautiful drawings, playing chess and writing poetry.  He loved to study the mind, finding how it works for everyone as no one person is the same. He was always intrigued on how complex the mind is. For him, knowledge was power.  At home, being his mom’s best friend, the best companion, always ready for mom’s cooking.  The moment seemed complete for him when meeting his first love, Paloma. Diamond his new bull terrier was his pride and joy.  He will truly and deeply missed, leaving a big void for his family and friends

The mass will be held at 10am at St Cecilia on Tuesday September 14, 2021.

I don’t know you Danny, but if you’re ANYTHING like your sister Marcela, you are ONE PRECIOUS PERSON! My heart goes out to your momma and your sisters! God Bless you all and may He hold your family in His loving arms they way He holds you now. Jesus left us His peace that passes all human understanding when He ascended to heaven to be with the Father. I pray your family has that peace now and until y’all meet again.
