I first met Ida (Mom as she was known to me) in the early 90's through her daughter, Irene. We (Irene and I) belonged to a professional organization. Irene and I were inseparable. Soon Mom and I were the same. When I loss my mother, Ida became my "Mom".
As I moved up the board in
the organization, Irene and Mom moved right along with me. No matter what the occasion, I could look out in the audience and see Mom sitting there with a smile on her face. Both she and Irene were my strength and encouragement.
I spent time in their homes and was always treated like family. We shared dinners, made cookies and candies for our organizational events. Her husband (Carmen) even prepared dinner for one of my board meetings! It was delicious. We have laughed together and we have cried together.
Good people are hard to find in life. Both Irene and Mom were two such people. I will cherish the paintings that Mom gave to me, as they are a part of her. More than that I will cherish the fond memories and love that she shared with me. Heaven is now a more richer place with a new "angel", Ida.
My sincere condolences to the entire Scaccio Family. Mom is at last at "peace".

I want to add another fond memory of Ida- her remarkable talent and generosity. She did this painting of our Yakubik family home for the 50th wedding anniversary of my parents. We lived next door to the Scaccios.
Again sending our sincere condolences to the Scaccio family.

Ida was a very special lady, she had great stories and I enjoyed listening to her when she would come with Joe to work. Her paintings were beautiful. A classy lady for sure. She will be missed.

Aunt Ida lived a full and beautiful life. Her artistic talent was always a joy to see. She was always genuinely interested in whatever story was being told, and you knew she was listening because she followed every conversation with questions! She loved stories of her Italian roots and family. We loved her sense of humor and laugh. Michael has many fond memories of growing up and interacting with the Scaccio family. My boys will always remember being included in New Year's Eve parties at the Scaccio home. John, Linda, Ramona, Joe and your entire family are in our prayers. She lived a wonderful life and she will be missed by many.

Dear Ramona, Linda, Joe, John, and families...
It is with great sadness that we read of Ida being called home to God. We feel your earthly loss must be a great joy for Carmen as he welcomed Ida with open arms.
Ida was a lady of great class and talent, warm and gentle words to all she talked with, a loving Mother to each of you and a proud and happy Grandmother. She was blessed with a long and family filled journey, and now she is with her God of Perfection.
May that same God wrap each of you in His strength and peace and give you many memories to make your heart smile in the days to come.
We are unable to be with you, however we send you loving sympathy...sincerely,
John and Linda Doepker
