James Surgen Obituary

James Douglas Surgen, 68, of Stow, passed away June 22 at his home, surrounded by the family he adored.

He leaves behind a priceless example to live by``Work hard, save your money.' The glass is always half full. Love your family.

He also leaves behind his wife of 24 years, ``my lovely bride,' Judy; his children who will gratefully carry on his memory in thought and action, Terri (Dave) Rasalan, Tammy Soucek, Debbi (Tony) Kerns, Allyson Buskirk, T.J. (Tricia) Surgen, Stephan (Hyon) Wegfehrt, Lisa (Mike) St. Aubin, Russell (Donna) Wegfehrt; and his grandchildren that he treasured, Brandon, Heather, Mark, Rhiannon, Tony, Madison, Damian, Mitchell, Benjamin, Jayson, Max, Maggie, Ella, Maysey and Kaysey; and his great-grandson, Kade; mother, Margaret Surgen; brothers, Jerry and George; sisters, Joyce, Kathy and Sandy; and many dear friends.

A memorial service will be held for friends and family to celebrate his life AT HIS HOME on June 27 from 1 to 5 p.m. All are encouraged to share how this wonderful man touched their lives.

Jim impacted many people at Parker during his career, he was a great mentor and friend. He was an honest and passionate leader. He is a Parker legacy that will never be forgotten! My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you during this difficult time. You were so lucky to have him in your life! I was privledged to have worked with him!
