Josh Lyons Obituary
Josh Lyons, 23, of Wadsworth, died as a result of a motorcycle accident on Friday, Sept. 12, 2014.
He was born on April 14, 1991 in Barberton. He was a 2009 graduate of Wadsworth High School, class of 2009, and was employed by Wholesome Pet Distributors.
Josh is survived by his loving parents, Jennifer and Todd Kollert, and Shane Lyons (Lisa Evans); sister, Kelsi Kollert; fiancée Jessica Ogden and family; grandparents, David and Barbara Sabett, David and Marlean Kollert and Debbie Lyons.
Visitation Friday, September 19, 2014, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 9 p.m. at Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, where a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 20 at 11 a.m. A full obituary may be viewed online www.hilliardrospert.com.

Saw Josh's name on the bench at Silver Creek Metro Park today. A beautiful day, leaves in color, sky a flawless blue. Had to look up his name to learn of his story. Hope the years have brought more memories and fewer tears. Peace be to all.

Grandma and I feel a void in our life. We miss you stopping by to chat or to sit down and have dinner with us. I'll treasure all the things we did together and try to become more like you by being a more caring person. I can't get over the fact that what you loved to do the most caused you to leave us. Dear Josh,
It has been a month since this awful tragedy hit your family. It still doesn't seem real to me....I spend a lot of my early mornings with Chloe outside and it is still very dark. The stars are always bright and beautiful and without even trying I think of you....I talk to you. I can still hear your laugh, see your bright smile. It is difficult to go by your house daily...it is difficult to see the hurt in your Mom and my brother...I wish I could do more for them. Please watch over them as they continue to struggle with the loss of you.

Although we lived thousands of miles apart you and I were so much alike. We both loved cars and motorcycles, mixed martial arts, and adventure. I am going to miss you so much that it is hard to describe in words. I remember the time when I was 12 and you were 11 and we went to a water park when my family was visiting Ohio. We stood in line for 30 minutes letting people go before us until we worked up the courage to go down the tallest water slide we had even seen. The only reason we got the courage was because two cute older girls went in front of us. I laugh (and cry) when I think about how much fun we had when we visited Ohio. My mom told me of the beautiful service and I wanted to let your family and Jessica (whom I never had the pleasure of meeting) know that I was there in spirit. I will always love and miss you!

Lyons Family, I am so sorry for your great loss. Josh and my son were good friends in high school. Josh would come over to our house and stay for dinner. We had some pretty different conversations, Josh always enjoyed! Daniel would visit with him at his house, and always had a good time. Josh would stop over at the house, unexpected, to see Daniel. Always smiling, he was a great young man, gone too soon! Your in my prayers.

Dear Jen, my heart aches for you after hearing about the loss of your son Josh. You always talked so highly of him and about how proud you were of him when we worked in diagnostics together. I've read and heard what an awesome young man he turned out to be. His passing has left a hole in many hearts. Words cannot express the sympathy I feel for you but know you are into thoughts.

Josh, you will never be forgotten buddy! You were a true friend and I will miss your sarcasm and witty remarks. You, me, Steve, and Eric had a blast doing the Warrior Dash and you got to watch and laugh at me attempt to do some clay pigeon shooting. My man Josh.. Where do I even begin? I'm so grateful to have ever known you , and even more blessed to be able to call you my friend. I'll never forget the time at work when a hawk flew in to the warehouse and slammed into the garage door and was stunned.. Everyone starts yelling "GO GET JOSH!".. So you come over and pick up this hawk with your bare hands, jump outside with it and release it. One of the coolest things I ever saw! From that point on you were known as the bird man to me... Or the time when I found a turtle in my driveway one morning before work so I brought it in. You tried to call Jess to come get it but she couldn't, so me and you walked down the tracks and through the woods and placed it in the small creek.. We both worked with wet feet the rest of the day. I love and miss you so much buddy.. To Josh's family and Jess, I know we don't know each other but if you guys EVER need anything you just say the word and I'll be there. Ramble On, Josh.. May you rest in peace.

Josh was an amazing person and his loss has been very difficult for everyone that was blessed enough to have known him. I miss hearing him singing thru the warehouse to his favorite music every morning. He will always hold a special place in my heart. Miss you Josh

My heart breaks for the loss of such an amazing person. He had such an amazing soul and was taken far too soon. My prayers are with Josh's family and friends as they trudge through this terrible time. One thing Josh was amazing at was bringing those he loved together and brightening their day. I try to remember those times when I am most upset at such a tragic loss. Working with him created some of my best experiences here and I know the entire company will never forget him. May God give you comfort & strength through this difficult time. We too lost a son in a motorcycle accident & though it has been 13 years the pain is still there. Our family memories of him have kept his spirit alive. Time lessens the pain but it doesn't really ever heal as the saying goes. It is an unnatural order of life for parents to have to bury their children. My heart aches for all of you even though we don't know each other. May your memories give you strength in the time ahead.

Josh lived just down the hill from me in high school and we carpooled together for a long time. He seriously was one of the nicest people. He was always super friendly, and his smile was nothing but contagious. The first day I picked him up for carpool he got in my car, told me I had terrible taste in music, and changed the radio station haha. I don't think anyone hears his name and could come up with one bad thing to say about him.

Josh Lyons was a friend of mine...an old co worker at Anshutz mover. The kid had heart...more heart than anyone I know. he had work ethic like that of a different generation... He and I talked regularly and he often stopped by randomly just to chit chat and play with my son and dog...people may say this a lot ...but in all honesty josh WAS the kind of guy to give you the shirt of his back at even the slightest notion that he thought you needed it. They don't make them like him anymore...he was truely one of the best people anyone could have met. My condolences to his family, friends and his girlfriend ... He will be forever missed. Rest in peace "good buddy."

Josh had one of the kindest soul's. He was a friend of mine, and I will never forget how sweet and funny he is. He had a smile that could light up the whole room.
